A working notebook on SEO, content and running an online business

About

Who writes Netnoise

Netnoise is a working notebook on search, content and the unglamorous parts of running a business online. It started as a private file of things I did not want to relearn: which changes moved rankings and which only looked busy, what a given analytics number really counts, and where the money quietly went every month.

I write for owner-operators. If you run a shop, a practice or a one-person product and you are the one who logs into the analytics on a Sunday night, this is for you. It is not written for agencies, and it is not a pitch for one.

What you will find here

  • SEO: what to fix first, what to ignore, and how to tell the difference from your own data.
  • Content: writing pages that answer real questions without padding them for word count.
  • Paid: when ads earn their keep for a small budget, and when they do not.
  • Running the business: tools, costs, and the admin that eats the week.

What you will not find

No affiliate links, no sponsored posts, nothing for sale and no services. If a tool is mentioned, it is because I used it and have an opinion about it.

Author

Naomi Fletcher ran search and content for two small e-commerce brands before going solo, and Netnoise is the notebook she kept along the way: what moved rankings, what the tools actually measure, and which parts of running an online business nobody budgets for. She writes for owners doing their own marketing, not for agencies. Netnoise sells nothing, takes no sponsorships and does not do client work. She lives in Denver and still checks Search Console before coffee.
